Coming from the valleys of North Wales, Sarah-Jayne was used to a quiet country lifestyle – until that is, she moved to New York City at 18 to go to Acting School. Since then, she has been exploring her passions for the creative arts, and travelling in between. Sarah fell in love with sailing on the crossing of the Biscay Bay, and since has found that sailing brings her incredible joy.
She is passionate about exploring what makes the world beautiful, from meeting new people, to learning about different cultures and sharing life adventure stories. She recently started her own travel blog/business which can be found here: www.abritandabackpack.com
Patrik
Skipper / Instructor
Patrik is an idealist anchored in reality. Coming from Prague - Klánovice, he graduated from Czech Technical University in Air Transport and Space Technologies and started working in R&D in Škoda Auto. Eventually, the office proved to be too small and he set sail on a half a year adventure around Europe on his tiny 27ft sailboat Marie. He met Sarah on the Camino de Santiago.
Patrik is an enthusiastic RYA Yachtmaster Instructor with Scotland's largest sailing school and will ensure your safety onboard. For those interested, he is excited to teach you sailing too.
Apart from sailing, Patrik is passionate about backpacking, exploring, making new friends, alpinism, astronomy, working with children and youth on summer camps and Life.
Professional qualifications:
RYA Yachtmaster Instructor. MCA/RYA Yachtmaster Offshore commercially endorsed. YM Ocean Theory. Red Cross First Aid certificate. 11 000 quality nMiles as a skipper.
